I would like to see Microsoft restore Autosave to its entire Office collection of apps. Instead, "Auto-recovery" is supposed to be our salvation, and it does actually sometimes work. But it's a continual annoyance to arrive at work to find my PC has been re-booted by some "urgent" Windows automatic update, and auto-recovery did not execute. Sometimes old ideas aren't so bad, and the Autosave feature had benefits beyond compensating for Microsoft's O/S stability problems (that they think they've mastered).
