Custom Line Patterns Don't Mind The Gap
« on: October 23, 2008, 06:24:42 AM »
If a custom line pattern is applied to a Visio connector, and the connector has a jump style of "gap", the custom pattern ignores the gap.

In the ShapeSheet geometry, the gap is still being drawn (there are multiple MoveTo rows in Geometry1.)

Patterns DO follow arc-style jumps and n-point jumps.

I tried to see if there was some sort of gap-size tolerance by making the line weights very small, to no avail.

It appears to be more general, if you apply a custom line pattern (I used John Marshall's Christmas lights) to a standard shape like a Square then change one line in the geometry section from a LineTo to a MoveTo then it shows the same symptom, the MoveTo gets ignored and the line gets drawn anyway.
