When I apply a custom line pattern to a connector the "Gap" Line Jump doesn't work. The other types "Arc", "2 sides" etc. are working fine.
My custom line pattern consists of 2 parallel lines (one shorter than the other, resulting in a connector consisting of a continous line and a dashed line).

I have the problem irrespective of which behaviour option i choose for the custom line patterns in "Pattern properties" (or Scaled / not Scaled). Changing the pattern to a single line does not fix the problem either. Setting the Line Jump Style by Page or by Connector has no effect either.

Doh! You're right, it doesn't work.

I even looked in the ShapeSheet. The gap is still being drawn, but the pattern rendering code in Visio seems to be ignoring it.

One work-around you might employ is this: make your custom line pattern with a white over hang. When lines cross, it will appear to create a gap. Then you can turn off line jumps altogether, since you won't need them!

This works best if your background is always white paper, and you won't be running into many different colors on the background.

See the attached image for a visual demonstration.

The first square shows how I've defined a double-line pattern, where the white overhangs beyond the lines. The gray backgrounds show you what's going on. The white background is how it will really look.

Thanks for the proposed work-around. In most cases it will do since our background is always white paper.
