OK... just installed Visio 2007 because that is what my new employer uses... was a huge iGrafx user for process modelling.  So, went to start a large, mult-swimlane, process flowchart - opened the cross-functional flowchart template and entered "10" into the swimlane box and it said I could only have 1-5 swimlanes   ???... how do I do a large, cross-functional flowchart?  Thanks to anyone that can help me  :)

Create the 5 then add more swimlanes manually, just drop a Functional Band on the page and it'll be added to the frame.

Put your swimlanes on another layer, it makes things much easier :)
