yes it can be...but it does allow you to scale shapes/group of shapes, set new connection points that track to the shape, etc
visio 3D does not do that hence why I did it.

Just putting it out there...if doesn't help, don't use it.

FWIW...you could build draw.io shapes used for amazon with this shape (I am working on cylinder shape like this).
