Visio 2019 does not support Custom Icons?

I tried to create a CustomUI with a custom icon. But the attempt was unsuccessful. Visio creates a panel, but does not show the image.
For comparison, I did the same in Excel. There are no problems here. Excel shows the image.
It remains to assume that Visio can only work with imageMso, but not with image :(
Does anyone have experience using Custom Icons in Visio?

IMHO no way! Because we have not folder for these icons into VSDX-file format.

Yes, it is a known issue:

You can workaround the issue with getImage and returning the image from the VBA (if there is some)
