Hi,

Is it possible to link a specific excel cell to the text box on the connectors in between the shape?
I just would like to show the "text" information in excel in the text box on the connectors and when I update the excel, the text in the text box in visio will be automatically updated.

Is it possible to do so? If so, how?  I have been googling for hours but I am not able to find the information. I find something like Shape Stencils and link it to the shape.  However, it does not work as my data does not show certain consistent pattern.  To make it more clear, I can do a formula in excel shape to equal to the specific cell in cell so the shape will be named accordingly.

Just wondering if the same function can be done in Visio but it would be linked to excel.

Thank you.

It can definitely be done in Visio Standard (but please see my comments re: Visio Online).  You have to access the Visio Object model via VBA.
