On the newsgroup “microsoft.public.visio.general” a few weeks ago a user asked about how to pop up a dialog box showing some text when a Visio shape is double-clicked.

I've now updated this addon to V1.3, it is now written in Free Pascal/Lazarus, the installer was created using warSetup.
None of the installation instructions from the previous postings are required, just run the .msi file; and the example includes outputting a shape variable to the dialog box. Hope someone finds it useful. Oh, yes, it's free.

 ... and now following a suggestion from a user (thanks) there is now a different version that uses a tool window rather than the usual dialog window. Hope it's useful to someone. Same URL as above.

These two dialogs have just been updated to allow new lines to be inserted into the displayed text by using a \r within the text string.

These two items have now been updated to make them work with 64-bit as well as 32-bit Visio, and added application icons and other tidy ups.
