So I finally got the add-ins working on my Visio files, however when I have multiple documents open and try to use the "copy current page to other document" command, it only shows the document that I selected from in the pop up window to choose from, not any of the other documents. What am I doing wrong? I have tried everything I can think of, shutting everything down, rebooting, etc, nothing works.  :(

Hello Jason, many thanks for your order.
In Visio 2016 (maybe in Visio 2013 as well but I can't test that) the way documents are opened has changed (some might say "broken").
When a new Visio diagram is created from the New menu or a document is opened via the Open menu or a previously used document is opened via the recent documents list then the document will be opened within the current instance of Visio. All fine and dandy.
However, when a document is opened by double-clicking from Explorer or similar then a new instance of Visio is created. These different instances cannot see each other and do not know which documents the other instance has open.
There might be some option somewhere to always open documents within the same instance, maybe someone else knows whether this might be possible ... ah, got it ...

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the response, and the suggestions! Although the Microsoft thread did not help, it did give me some ideas on things to try. I figured it out, so I'll note here in case it helps anyone else with Visio 16. The only way it would recognize multiple documents open at same time, was to open different documents up within the same Visio session. So I could not go into my file explorer, and locate individual Visio files and open that way. I had to open one file from Start menu, then once that was open, I had to go into File>Open>then select another one to open. It would not open multiple windows, I would have to toggle back and forth between documents, which was fine with me. I accomplished what I was trying to do, and now know what I need to do to make it work. Thanks again!

Glad to know you've sorted the problem. Thanks for the feedback.
