Default Startup Template

i've looked through the visio help and this forum and can't seem to find the answer to this:

how do i change the settings in the default startup template?   i want visio to open with settings for things like snap and glue, fill, line weight that are different from the default settings.

apologies if this has been covered elsewhere.
