Nudging strange

So I use the Nudge a lot. And Shift arrow nudge.
But some times some of the directions don't work. Like right now I can move objects up and right but not down or left?

I opened a new drawing and it was fine. Then opened a drawing I was having issues with and then it was just not Down..

Is there some reason for this behavior?

I am working on a document where I am importing a bunch of images for a background. I split it up to get better resolution.

Yes this happens when you have a lot of snapping options active.
the nudging works, but if around a certain point you have ceveral snapping possibilites to other entities (grip, vertices, ...) then the nudging is too small too notice. If you continue nudging, you'll notice a bigger jump.
So reducing the snapping options will help.

ok, thanks I will try that..
But something I forgot to mention is that it Bings for the directions that it cannot go. So it is blocking those inputs.. its very strange.
So I over move it with the mouse and move back into location with the arrow keys in the direction it will let me go.
