I'm using a stencil file from 2013, running Visio 2016.  When I drag a shape into the 2016 drawing page, all the text contained in the shape is boxed with a solid line.  If I then select the text and then select "no line" in the Format Text dialog, the line disappears, but the text is still surrounded by a solid white text block.  If I go to the Text Block tab in the dialog, it shows that the text background is set to "None"  , not "Solid".  Can't seem to get rid of the solid background.
What am I missing?

Might try saving stencil in 2003 format then bring it into 2016
