Arranging dropped shapes within a predefined area

I was wondering how to go about (using VBA) arranging shapes to fit a rectangular area into which they are to be dropped. Any tips and pointers are much appreciated.

Have a look at the ShapeAdded event :

You can use this event to check/set the shape's X/Y coordinates.
