Dear Forum,
I was wondering is is possible to snap and glue to an object while holding the Shift key and draging the other object (for example line)

Thanks,
Andrei

The shift key does exactly this: avoid snapping and therefor also gluing.

Ok. So the question is - how to draw a straight line between 2 shapes and glue this line to both of them :)

I did solve this issue for myself, by using fixed grids and connection points. The shapes having always multiple sizes of the grid size and the connection points being on the grid.
I doubt however that this method is applicable everywhere.

The right setting of gluing and snapping options is very tricky in Visio.
