on a page with 4 swim lanes I can adjust vertical height (to its limit) on 3 lanes but not 4. its the 2nd one down. I have unprotected and set margins to 0 on the cross function flowchart tab. typically I can adjust the height to within 2 squares of shapes in the lane, ie, 2 squares above the highest shape and 2 squares below the lowest shape. but this one just one just won't adjust. and can't set a lower height value in the shapesheet either. so many gotchas and time wasters in visio >:( >:(

Please attach the file - otherwise hardly anybody will be able to help you.

With time wasters and gotchas you mean: endless usage and applications?!

Mind you, when you started out with using Excel and Word, you didn't fully understand nor utilise the program's capability.
Same applies for Visio.

Although I do think that the use of shape sheet should be standard not for developers.
