I have Visio 2007 and my friend has Visio 5 at work.  We'd like to go back and forth with a file and make changes.  In 2007, I can view his files, but after I save he cannot view it.  Is there some way I can save it so he will be able to view it in Visio 5?  Thanks for the help.

Hi ridermx28,

Visio 2007 has a Save As option to get you to Visio 2002 format. This has the same file format as Visio 2000, but I'm not sure if that's compatible with Visio 5.

John Marshall has a nice history at: http://visio.mvps.org/History.htm, but I didn't read it thoroughly. Might be worth a second look.

I know Visio 2000 can SaveAs in Visio 5 format. You should be able to pick up a copy of Visio 2000 on eBay or similar for peanuts.
