Hi,

I've seen several postings here showing how to resize a shape to accommodate more text. My problem is just the opposite.

I have a shape that may need to accommodate a possibly large amount of text.   Right now, even though the size of the shape is fixed, all the text is shown, "overflowing" the size of the containing shape.  However, I do not want to show more text in the page than the original size of the text box.   How do I restrict the amount of text shown to say 3 lines?

Of course, the expected behavior is that if I go to edit the text I should still be able to see/edit it all, but when I finish editing, only the first 3 lines should be shown.

I'm relatively new in Visio and thus I have the feeling that there's a simple solution to this but unfortunately it eludes me.

Many thanks in advance!

Alex
