Dynamic grid makes me sick :(

I agree about the "grid" system completely.  It could be improved tremendously, including better "syncing" with the rulers.  However, using floating point is unavoidable.  English alone would have a huge problem.  But, integer multiples of the minimum spacing would be a seemingly easy fix and upgrade.  At least, the dynamic grid ought to track itself with that one change.

Somehow, in the original concept of Visio, my guess, is that using it for precision, CAD, was not part of the vision.  So, as the Visio world expanded, some baseline features revealed their fundamental weaknesses.  For example, what precision drawing system would use grid / ruler terms such as "fine", "normal", and "coarse".  Those have no meaning.
