Drawing Scale - Page Border sync.

I am using Visio 2007 Professional.
My drawings have a standard border with text boxes etc. for names, drawing numbers and what not.

Is there a way to change the drawing scale and NOT change the standard border? The sheet size remains the same but not the scale. If the scale is changed then the borders etc. change also but that is not desired.

Are you putting the border/title block on a background page?  That would (should) prevent it from changing as you change the foreground page scales.

No, I was anaware of the background page.
Each page would need its own background page as the page number and title name will differ.
I will try this.

You could do that in the ShapeSheet, see attachment.

If you put border / title block on background page, then, use the Insert>Field, you can select a variety of entries to be shown in the title block.  Things like page number, page name will be shown correctly as you go from one drawing page to the next.  The background page automatically updates itself for the displayed active page.

It should not be necessary to guard the width / height as long you only change scale factor.  There is no physical page size change.

One thing to be aware of, if you have different sized pages, e.g., A, B, E, etc.  Each page size will require a matching background page.
