Bend an image around the edge of a shape?

Is there a way to bend a graphic image (jpg, png) around the edge of a Visio shape?

Suppose I have an image of a board or a log. Is there a way to bend that image around a circle? What about other shapes, including freehand shapes?

I believe this is possible in Photoshop, Illustrator, Gimp and other graphics software, but I'm more familiar with Visio, so if I can do it there, I'd rather.

I don't think any such thing is possible in Visio.

That would be a job for Inkscape. Advantage: it exports it's drawings as SVG, that you can edit in Visio.
