Can't remove a shape from Favorites folder

I copied a shape to my Favorites by mistake. Now I can't remove it.

If I right-click the shape, most of the options are greyed out.

After a little fiddling around, I discovered that right-clicking on the title bar gives me an "Edit stencil" option. (Apparently these collections are called stencils, not folders.) If I click on that option and then right click the shape, I see that all of the options are now active.

One of these options is "Delete Master Shortcut". It has a large "X" to the left, so I assume this is the options I want, but this is a very scary title. Why is it not "Delete Shape" or "Delete Shortcut" (if they want me to know that I am deleting just this copy) or just "Delete"?

I hesitate to delete anything with "Master" in the title.

shapes that live in stencils are called 'masters'.

Trouble is, Jennifer, we can't see what you see on your screen. What do you mean by Favorites? Where? In Visio? In Explorer? How do you see a shape in your Favorites?
Your right-clicking tells me you are in Visio? How does this tie-in with Favorites?

Odd name, especially since this one is a copy, but OK. So clicking on that "Delete Master Shortcut" will delete it from that stencil and not from any other?

Jeez, and I thought I did such a great job of explaining what was happening... :'(

It's all in Visio. I have a stencil called "Favorites". It contains shapes that I "send" there (right-click shape | Add to My Shapes | Favorites). I thought it was a standard stencil, but maybe I created it a long time ago and forgot.

Ok, if I is the case that the favorites is a stencil you created yourself then, yes, you can quite safely delete the shape. Shapes within stencils are called masters.

OK, done. Thanks.

I guess I must have created the Favorites stencil some time ago. I thought it was one of the built-in stencils and it would be clear what I meant. Sorry for confusing you by calling it a folder.

I guess the shapes in the stencils are called "Masters" because they are the source for the shapes that are dragged to the document, right, and not because they are the Master stencil in all of the stencils. right? In fact, this one is actually a shortcut to a shape in one of the built-in stencils.
