I'm kind of a newbie with advanced visio...so this may be the proverbial dumb question...

But I'm trying to create a diagram of a set of application servers, and I want to populate some of the text with data from a spreadsheet.  What i want to do is have a server shape, with a data graphic that shows (from 3 separate columns in the sheet) the server name, type, and installed s/w.  Below that I want to put a different shape, with a data graphic showing information about java containers installed within Websphere on the box. The two shapes are from different masters on a network stencil; but when I try to have different graphics attached to the two different shapes, it seems like the changes are global and hit ALL the data graphics.

Is it that Visio 2007 does not yet allow multiple data graphics definitions on a page? Or is there some fundamental thing i dont understand about how the data graphics work? or both???   :o
