How can I change line and fill styles for a Data Graphic?

In Visio 2010, there are two things I'd like to be able to do with regards to Data Graphics, and haven't been able to figure out:

1.  Apply a fill pattern.  What I want here would apply across the board - I simply want each data graphic to have a vertical fade from white to the chosen data color (which is set for each shape by the data).

2.  Change the line style (i.e.  thickness and color) based on the data.

Are either of these doable?
