Steve

Hello.

I wonder if anyone can help.

I'm trying to export, for all the sheets in my visio file, shape data (to excel) that includes the following attributes at minimum:
Shape ID, shape/master name, BeginX, EndX, BeginY, EndY. I also have my own defined shape data to export.
In the review tab I find that the shape reports function enables me to export a report with all of this information except the attributes that are key for connectors (BeginX, EndX, BeginY, EndY). There is also an export to database wizard (where I export to Excel) but this doesn't allow me to export the shape/master name (this wizard will only allow me to export data for one sheet/drawing at a time).

I want to be able to get all of these attributes into one report for all shapes in all of my diagrams inside the Visio file. Is the only way to write my own shape reports macro?

If this is the case would anybody recommend a place to start doing this in VBA?

Thank you
Steve
