Hi,

Need some guidance on importing (after exporting "Displayed Text") from the Data>Reports tool.

So in effect I have produced a diagram, with lots of boxes with shapes with text in them.  Now I have exported the shaped text, I would like to import this after editing he spreadsheet to add layer information to the diagram instead of adding data graphics etc.  I can import the shape data etc automatically but I want to keep this hidden and for it to give a value to the Layer property.

I see that once a digram has utilised the data graphic feature, that this appears on the layer list.  So I'm assuming this cannot be done.

I used Data > Link data to shapes but this isn't what I need.

- any ideas.
I am using Visio 2007 SP3
