Hi Guys,

First post so forgive me if I get this wrong.

I have created my own stencil and want to be able to asign a default layer to each of the shapes in the stencil. This will prevent me having to go to Layers>Assign to Layer> select the required layer for each individual shape.

Can this be done?

Very simple, edit your master shape and add that layer to the shape. When the shape is dropped on a page it will appear on that layer.

Thanks for the reply Paul,

I have tried as you suggested but can not see how you can add a layer to the master shape :(. I have tried the MS help pages but they just tell me how to do it in 2007 and not 2010. Any guidance would be appreciated.
