I have a real interesting problem.
A client came to me with an Organization Chart. It has been revised over time. Recently he installed Visio 2010. He is having probelms with 2010.

I have some of his files and have been looking at them. I have fixed up a lot of his problems with metric and us units of measure and some other nts such as phantom shapes.

Another problem I have run into is the Autoconnect of Visio 2010.

On one sheet, there are shapes that you can drag and drop a shape on, the underlying shape morphs with light blue arrows and when you release the mouse button the shape positions and a connector is formed. So far this behavior is correct as I understand it.

On the same sheet, when this is doen on a different shape, the same morphing and light blue arrows and then release hte mouse button and the shape just drops on top of the underlying shape, nothing happens.

If I do the same exercise with the same shape and ensure the mouse is over one of the light blue arrows so now it is a dark blue arrow and release the mouse button the behavior is as described, the shape postions itself and a connector is formed.

Is this a case of really messed up sheet froma previous version. Is there a simple fix?
