Hi. Pretty new to Visio and struggling over here...

What I'm trying to do is firstly create a standard form to enter network information etc. I've found 'Microsoft Forms 2.0' in Insert -> Control so I can make what looks like a form but cannot get them to lock together. I can group them but then it seems to be funny with selecting a box for data entry, plus if I select a box individually I can still drag it away from the group.

Once I've got a grip on that I was hoping I could create a button that would either open a new window or just expand into the form.

Ideally I was hoping I could say attach that to say a switch etc then save as a template for future use.

Will be grateful for any help

Thanks

OK I've managed to create a suitable form by inserting a button, clicking view code & then making a form in the VB editor.
Now I'm unsure how to make it save the data in the form. I presume doing it this way I would have to make some sort of SQL database?
