Separating a Large Drawing into smaller sections?

I have a drawing that I created using Visio 2010 that is 8 1/2" x 33". I need to export it into Word or save it as a pdf. My only problem is that when I insert my drawing as an object it takes the whole drawing and shrinks it down to fit 1 standard 8 1/2" x 11" page therefore making it unreadable. I would like to seperate my drawing into three sections so that I can insert it into Word so that the drawing would be sectioned into three separate pages so that I could print each section of the drawing individually. If you have any suggestions on how to do this I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You.

The easiest thing to do would be to create two more pages and split the drawing manually. 

Inserting, pasting, etc. tries to remain within the page limits of the destination source. 

If pdf is acceptable, you might try printing to pdf.  This is not the same as Publishing to PDF, a Visio add-on.  You need to use the printing functionality.  Set up your page attributes such that the Print Setup is Landscape, and Print zoom is set to Fit 3 sheets across and 1 sheet down.  Page Size is custom, 33" x 8.5".

Printing will break the Visio document into 3 pages.  Note, there may be some issues with margins, but Print Preview should help you resolve these before you print.
