How does Visio Services help in SharePoint 2010

I am using Visio Professional 2010 and have heard about Visio services, can anyone explain me that how it helps?

Visio Services is basically a new feature in SharePoint Server 2010, Visio Services allows publishing of data-driven diagrams from Visio 2010 to SharePoint Server 2010, and viewing and refreshing data-driven diagrams in a browser.

Browser ID: smf (possibly_robot)
Templates: 4: index (default), Display (default), GenericControls (default), GenericControls (default).
Sub templates: 6: init, html_above, body_above, main, body_below, html_below.
