Hi all,
I would like to connect two shapes with an arc that visually only fills part of the space between the two shapes.

Ive shown this in the attached vsd - the first bit shows A and B connected. The second bit shows how Id like this to appear.

Is there a way to separate visual endpoints for a connection line from the actual connection endpoints? (does that even make sense :)

Thanks,
Andrew

Yes, you can do this in a variety of ways.  One is to make a custom line pattern.  The pattern would be a straight line, surrounded by a rectangle.  The rectangle needs to be longer than the line at both ends to create the desired spacing effect.  Make sure the rectangle is not filled, and that it's line is set to  no line.  Then group the two shapes.

See updated version of your file.
