Embedding "Objects" into Visio

Can someone tell me the reason why this happens when you insert objects into Visio?

I am sick of double clicking on an object to try to bring it back to focus...  I looked into the ShapeSheet to see if I can find something to set, no luck...

Does anyone have any suggesting?
