Hi,

I'm having a problem with some lines in visio. For some reason when I draw a multiple segment line, some of the segments are slightly crooked. The snap and glue feature is disabled and I am holding the shift key as a I draw a new segment. Some how, the line still ends up being slightly crooked. When I zoom out to 75 or 100% the line appears to be straight, but when I print or zoom in, I can see that the line is not straight. Is there anyway to fix the crooked segment? Once the new segement is drawn, trying to get it straight again by holding the shift key does not work. Thanks.

I vaguely remember this, but, not much is happening.  Something about screen resolution changing at different zoom levels.  Anyway, I tried to reproduce your problem, and must not be doing it the same way -- my shift key plus drawn line always ended up horizontal or vertical.

Yes.  Once drawn, not easy to correct.  I believe you have to go into the shapesheet (menu bar > Window > Show Shapesheet.  Then scroll down to the geometry section.  If you have tiled both the drawing window and the shapesheet window, then, when you select one the geometry cells (either an X or Y entry), you will see a black box on your line corresponding to that point.  Find the offending point and manually type in the correct (desired) value.  That should fix the problem.

Hi Guys,
when my lines are crooked, I move the dicturbing point away from it's target and reposition it to the right position.
You can of course also set the angle of both lines and connectors to a multiple of 90deg in the size and position window.
Never had to open the shapesheet for that matter. ;)

I tend to you the Shape Align function. I align the object that the line is connected to with another object that is in line with it and my lines always come out straight after that.
