[Q] Ability to click a shape and open a different tab in the diagram?

G'Day,

I am using Visio 2003 and want to know if the following is possible. If I create 2 sheets in my VSD and I place a shape such as a "Blank Button" from the Toolbars and Menus button on the first tab. Can I "do something" so that when that shape is "clicked" (SHIFT-click or CTRL-Click etc) that the other page is now the open page? Basically as I am designing a GUI I would like to be able to offer some limited interaction. And of course a bonus would be to be export the VSD as a PDF or similair and still have that link work.

Any suggestions and pointers greatly appreciated.

You might check out hyperlinks in the visio help. Hyperlinks are also exportable with some pdfwriter implementations.

Something I have not been able to find is the ability to show visually that a shape has a link. I don't want the user to have to hover over a shape to find out if it has a link. Is there some project wide setting that can be used so that hyperlinks are a different colour or something?

No, I haven't seen anything like that either. If you're using a limited number of shapes in your solution, you might consider a custom stencil with modified shapes.
