Wondering if there is an easy way to get a fair curve, rounding off the right angle where a 45 degree arc and a straight line intersect? Where two straight lines intersect, I just add a small 45 degree arc. But that technique doesn't work so well where one end is an arc. I do need to ensure each segment end matches exactly the start of the next segment, as the overall shape goes via DXF into a printed circuit board outline fabrication.

Thanks,

Allan.

Are you trying to achieve something like in the image in attachment or something more rounded?

Wanting to round off this corner, as shown with the hand drawn red line. Thx.

Did you try selecting the line and both arc and in Developer->Operation->Join ?
Just make sure your line is perfectly aligned before joining.

Not sure it is what you want because it will make the line and both arc as 1 shape but you will be able to apply a rounding preset for the angle.

Adding to above comment, in the Ribbon, select the View tab, then in pop-up window, make sure to activate the Shape geometry and Shape vertices in the Glue to section.  Then, in Advanced Tab of that window, make Geometry have stronger Snap strength.  Those changes will improve line to line connections with no gaps.

Another technique, would be to overlap the 2 lines, select both and then do TRIM.  Then delete the undesired pieces, re-select the two lines, JOIN, and then do rounding as suggested.

An observation... is this rounding at line intersections really necessary?  Using pro-level front-to-back software, that was never done.  Seems unnecessary. Just an observation.

Brilliant! This is exactly what I needed. Thanks a lot!

Necessary? Not at all. I'm just a wee bit OCD, and prefer a little bit of a round on the all corner; just feels nicer. Thx.
