Containers Print Differently Between Foreground/Background Pages

Hello,
I've got something which has been bugging me for some time...

As the title says, if I have a container, it prints differently to PDF depending on whether it's on a stanards page or if it's part of a background page.

Anything on a foreground page appears darker, which is especialy noticeable on a container with a fill transparency of >50%. As well, the text seems slightly bolder, and not rendered quite as smoothly somehow.

I've tested this with a comepltely fresh document, and just using the standard Visio containers, just so I can satify myself that it's not because of something I've tampered with somewhere. If I copy/paste the exact same container from a page to the background, then I see the issue. It's only containers, nothing else is affected.

Everything looks as exepcted on screen, it's just when it prints to PDF taht's the problem.

Any ideas what's going on?

Yep.  I can confirm this behavior.  Not much more can be said, other than the obvious... User Beware.

Interesting catch.  It is not the 1st time that the Visio "PDF rendering" has been, uh, unfaithful.  I recall that Vojo typically used a different method to convert Visio to PDF.  You may want to search the Forum for that.  It was quite a few years ago.
