Plan 2 with personal account

I found this posted on the MS Visio forum:

'I suggest you check the version of Visio you're using in PC, if you're using the Visio Plan 2, you can only use Business account to login and you cannot use the personal account.'

Is this true, that you cannot use Plan 2 with a personal account?

Looks like I'm using Plan 2 with personal account without any issues:


hotmail.com is 100% personal account

My payment profile is bound to an organization account, though

BTW, now there is a relatively cheap new "partner plan" that includes Visio Plan 2 (finally!), thinking of switching to it ($350 annually):

The Action Pack was $450 and did not include Visio Plan 2

Anyway now have to pay now almost 2x-3x times of $30 monthly, that is Azure + Office + SharePoint + Visio
