I have a visio file with multiple pages. On the first page I fill in the text as a source for the different shapefields on different pages in the same document.
ex.
=SHAPETEXT(Pages[Page-1]!Sheet.8!TheText)

Everything works fine. But when I copy the whole file to fill in the data for a different customer the linked text fields are not refreshing with the new text. I click on the text field the mask with the shape text link opens, I press enter and the text is refreshed.

Is there a command to execute a refresh for all connected textfields in the document? Similar to the command for a refresh to the external data sources?

Not quite clear what you're doing.  Can you share some sort of example.  What Page-1 looks like.  Where is your formula placed.

When you copy file, you mean duplicate it externally to Visio?  Have you tried SaveAs to a new name?

Have you tried saving as a template?  That would serve as a boiler plate, awaiting specific values, whatever, and then SaveAs to created filled in specific document.

Thank you for your answer. Sometimes ist's so easy... ;D
I think save as... solved the problem.
With copying externally only the links on the active page while opening the file was refreshed. that was confusing me.
