Updating excel when you make changes in visio

Hi guys, I am working on a new feature to update excel using flowchart. I have seen resources that helps to update the flowchart through excel data. But I need to update the excel when I make changes in the visio flowchart.



Thanks for the help. That steps and process really helped me alot. I would like to know if it is possible to mandate any field of excel in visio flowchart. Example, if a user want to add any new process/ custom shape in visio flowchart. Can we make a field may be, Alt text mandatory to save that shape process/ custom. Can you please help me with that.

Addition to that, Can we have any new column in excel sheet that has dropdown menu for that field data. That can be done same through visio as well. Like adding that same data as dropdown menu and selecting options from that dropdown.
