Title: Insert Symbols is sketchy, and not in a good way - any fix for this?
Post by: Trinity on November 24, 2015, 07:23:45 PM
Background - I converted to Windows 10 and then installed Office 365 Visio 2016. I'm running the rest of the Office 2010 suite on my machine, no issues.

I'm adjusting to the new Visio, but I'm getting dogged by a few glitchy things - one of which is how unreliable Insert>Symbols seems to be.

Issues within the Symbol selection dialog window:
- Font drop down contains no content, making it impossible to select anything.
- Symbol characters appear offset within the grid, either to the left and/or rotated upwards 45 degrees.

This is one of those features that you only notice you use frequently when it's not working. Anyone have any tips for this? It appears to work sporadically within Visio. I can reboot and make it work, but that's annoying and time consuming. I can open the Symbol dialog in other Office applications, but I cannot copy and paste the symbols into Visio.

Thoughts?
