Title: Aircraft Silhouettes Visio Shapes?
Post by: dasadler on February 26, 2014, 03:55:31 AM
I need to create a floor plan of some hangers that display vintage aircraft and was looking for some aircraft silhouette shapes... SR-71, B-47, P-51, etc As seen from the top looking down.

Has anyone ever seen these?

Google for "aircraft silhouette clip art".

You can use imported images as Visio shapes. They automatically support text below the image when you import them, too!

may want to consider PNG format and use freeware to get rid of alpha plane (white background) in case you want to have
visio shapes behind the plane getting close to it (aka runway/taxiway lines).

Good call, vojo, reminds me of this article, which I should have cited:

Remove Backgrounds From Images With Office 2010! (http://www.visguy.com/2009/11/11/remove-backgrounds-from-images-with-office-2010/)

I just checked PowerPoint 2013, and the background removal feature is still there :)
