Title: Can't expand ribbon after collapsing to tabs
Post by: michelleh on May 03, 2013, 07:15:07 PM
While in Visio 2013 I used the ribbon's collapse arrow to collapse the ribbon down to just tabs.  This is the old-style arrow on the right end of the ribbon like in Visio 2010.  But, the arrow to expand it back is gone in Visio 2013, and I don't see the ribbon control button by the min/max buttons like the other Office 2013 apps have.

Anyone have any idea on how to re-expand my Visio 2013 ribbon?

Thanks, Michelle

I stumbled on the answer.  If I right clicked between a couple of the ribbon tab labels, it gives me a menu with a Collapse the Ribbon check box.  If I right click to the right of the labels, I get the window commands, so it had to be between two labels.

When you collapse the ribbon, then the arrow disappears instead of flip-y-ing. When you click on any main menu item (collapsed ribbon tab), the whole ribbon pops up, and there is a pin icon on the right. Kind of a mix of UI styles, if you ask me. Arguably more efficient, but doesn't to be worth the confusion.
