Visio 2007 changes page breaks in vsd created in Visio 2003. We are upgrading from visio 2003 to 2007 and it seems to have trouble with the order of the page breaks. Which in turn is causing the drawing flow to acros to the next printer page. Any help would be gratly appreciated.
Is the same printer set as the default, is the paper set to the same size with the same size margins?
Same default printer, yes. What it actually looks like is. The drawing is 8.5 x 31. The top page in 2003 is 10.5" the second page is 10.5", the third page is 10". In Visio 2007, for some reason it puts the 10" page at te top followed by the 2 10.5" pages.
So it does!
This can be demonstrated quite easily. With a blank page, menu View -> Page Breaks
Hold down Control and drag the top or bottom page margin.
In Visio 2003 the extra is added at the bottom, in Visio 2007 it's added at the top.
Bug.
I appeciate your input Paul, We could really use a fix for this bug. If you know any Voodoo we can use that would be great.
Well, I've looked at this in 2003 and 2007, I can't find any setting that changes this behaviour.
Thank you for your efforts.
As weird as this may seem, if you go to page setup > Print Setup tab: Setup... button, and select "Center vertically" under Small drawings. In Visio 2003, this seems to shift the margins up the the 1/2 inch. So, from the top you have 10", 10.5", and 10.5". I don't have access to V2007 at the moment, but, perhaps it will shift in the opposite direction? :o ??? Worth a try.
The center vertically still works in 2007 but the paging still goes wrong.
:-[ Oh well.
So, is it possible to rotate your drawing 180 degrees? :P
