Got this one from the Microsoft newsgroups:
If you make a shape and add centered text to it, the text will stop being centered when you reach a Width of 52 inches (~132cm).
This seems to be a problem with Visio 2003 and Visio 2007.
The 52-inch limit is a "printed size" limit- ie: if you have a drawing scale of 1:4, then the problem will occur when the shape is 52 x 4 (=208 inches)
Right-aligned text also seems to have this problem.
My machine:
Visio 2007 Pro SP1 (en)
Windows XP SP3 (en)
I am having this exact issue in Visio 2016. Has anybody figured out a solution? Reported a bug?
Ten year resurrection!
Play with the scale of the drawing to avoid the limit of 52 inches.
It's the sort of bug that should have been fixed a long time ago.
How many users faced with this issue in these years?
Millions, thousands or hundreds ? I think it is dozens!

I'm one more. See http://visguy.com/vgforum/index.php?topic=9710.0 (http://visguy.com/vgforum/index.php?topic=9710.0).
Most people don't take the time to post problems. I'd guess less that 1%, probably much less. So you can multiple the number that report problems by at least 100, probably 1,000.
It's ridiculous that something as obvious as this has been around for so long. But that's true of so many things with M$FT products. And as a former software engineer, it's my opinion that this one is fairly easy to fix.
MS Visio suggestion box (https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/forum/42d29dfb-3e1c-ec11-b6e7-0022481f8472), you can share your issue. if many users vote for your suggest MS may be fix it.
