Title: Customized toolbar is gone
Post by: David.P on June 03, 2016, 05:44:12 PM
Hi forum,

today when I started my beloved Visio 2003 again (after a while), my customization was gone -- that had looked like this:

I even did a restore of the Visio Registry settings from a backup, but that did not help.

Is there another place where toolbar customizations are saved?

Thanks for hints

Turns out I had the problem before -- the solution is described here:
http://visualsignals.typepad.co.uk/vislog/2008/05/taming-your-too.html

Catchword is "custom[Visio version No].vsu" (e.g. custom11.vsu).

It's a matter of only restoring that file to a previous (intact) version.

FWIW, on 2003 I had that happen several times over 10 years...not sure why
