Title: Floor plan with Door Schedule / Window Schedule - Help understanding schedules
Post by: ThirdDimension on June 10, 2015, 04:26:00 AM
The Walls, Shells, and Structures stencil template has a a stencil for door schedule and window schedule.  When you drop this stencil on the drawing, it automatically calculates how many doors are required for the build.

I would like to design a schedule for light fixtures.  Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to build a schedule for this?

This "Window Schedule" report uses the Visio "Shape Report" feature.

You can check out the built-in "Window Schedule" report and build your own based on that report.
The reports can be found on Review -> Reports.

The tutorial on Visio reports from visio MVPs can be found on youtube:

Thank you!!!

I reviewed the video and have a better understanding now.  Moving forward, here is my next problem.  I want to build a schedule that includes additional required parts.

For example, if bolt "A" always requires 2 washer and 3 nuts, how do I add these attributes to bolt "A" so they appear in the part schedule when I auto generate?

thanks again!!!!!!
