Title: Export Org Chart data to excel

Hi All,

There is a functionality in Visio 2010 to export the organisation chart data to excel.

Can we do that through code. I want to export the data through code. When i try to record a macro it does nothing.

Can somebody please help. Its urgent.

you might try the database wizard which can dump the drawing to excel.

some of visio's functionality is intentionally not copied when you try to create macro's. I usually fallback to the event monitor which is included in the sdk's functions. It will show you a lot more of what is happening.

how? please explain the steps. I have org Chart in Visio and I want to copy the data of the position and employee names to excel.. how I can do this?
