Title: Transfer selection from layer to layer.

Hello again.
I have draw a complex diagram with with some layers (example "basic/optional/extra") and than add some more layers and started to make multiple layer assignment. But at one point it started to be hell of a mess.
So my question is:
Can i draw something over the original diagram, than erase only this part from the original diagram that i have put above (not selecting every shape one by one)
Sorry if this is not the right discussion forum to ask.
