Title: Autopopulate OrgChart
Post by: Michael M on February 17, 2011, 12:31:49 AM
Hi All
I've googled everywhere for a solution, but I'm beginning to wonder if I can actually do it...
I have created an OrgChart in Excel 2003, by using Insert / Diagram / Org chart.
It only has about 6 boxes at the moment but will expand significantly.
What I am trying to do is have a range of cells with employee details AND the shape No on the worksheet.
When the employee details change it automatically updates the text in the shapes using a macro...is this even possible.
I note that the shape No's are different to normal shapes inasmuch as they are numbered like _s1025, _s1026, etc.

Name   Position           Shape Name
Bob   Manager              _s1025
Ted   Assistant Manager  _s1026
Bill   Salesman              _s1027
Alice   Admin               _s1028
ANY assistance would be appreciated

Regards
Michael M
