Title: Sort on whatever you want.
Post by: Aliq on June 16, 2011, 10:25:42 AM
Heya Guys,

I'm using Visio 2003, and I'm making a big Organization Chart of atleast 700~ people.
Well my boss wants me to find a way to sort the shapes under the managers and their department managers.

Like sort it on what function they got, what expiration date they got to leave the company, name anything.

I hope you guys understand it,

Aliq

You're going to have to write your own version of the application. The wizard doesn't support it (shapes are dropped randomly for performance reasons).

I read that in Visio 2002 and 2007 there were options, 2003 didn't get that option.
Now I'm wondering if Visio 2010 has the same option as 2002 and 2007.

the orgchart wizard in v2010 is v2007 with enhancements (better data integration when data linking is the one I noticed)
